Art Clay Silver is an exciting new craft material; developed in Japan in 1991, it's a mixture of organic binder, water and tiny partcles of pure silver.
When heated using a gas stove, blowtorch or kiln, the binder burns away and the water evaporates, leaving 99.9% pure silver, which can be hallmarked!
This amazing, almost magical material is non-toxic, easy to use, and can be rolled, moulded, piped, shaped, carved and cut, creating lovely pieces of original jewelry, but in a fraction of the time taken with traditional methods.
Last, but not least, it can be added to pottery, porcelain, glass and certain semiprecious stones, even further extending the creative potential of this incredible material.
