I am the artist and designer Carol Douglas and I am offering exciting and unusual workshop opportunities and classes
Although I primarily work with silver clay, I also create pieces in mixed media, including bronze, copper, steel, gold, glass clays, porcelain & other ceramic clays faux bone and glass lamp work.
Inspiration for my organic creations is derived from the wildlife, vegetation and shores of the New Forest where I live . My unique Silver Shadows pieces are born in the macabre sensuality of myth, dark legend and mystical magical creatures and places.
I believe that silver is the most elegant of metals and I love exploring its versatility and beauty. I hope to carry on gaining knowledge and experience in creating silver designs in both jewellery and silver ware especially focusing upon marrying traditional skills with this comparatively new form of silver.
